Meditation For Psychic Skills

Many people are already aware of the benefits of meditation, deep relaxation and clearer thought. Not only is meditation beneficial for our minds and physical bodies but it’s also a basic tool for connecting with our soul or “higher self”. This can only be attained when we quiet the endless chatter in our heads.

In order to develop your psychic skills and be more successful at psychic tests it’s essential that you practice meditation. It trains the mind to focus, detach from the physical body and allows us to experience other consciousness levels.

So here’s your first exercise. There are many books that delve in meditation in detail and you are encouraged to explore them. But here is a basic guide to meditating to get you started.

Learning to Meditate:

Dress comfortably and arrange for some undisturbed, quite time to yourself.

Sit however you wish, whether in a chair or on the floor.

Breathe in deeply through your nose, feeling your belly expand with air. Then exhale through your lips. Aim to inhale/exhale for a count of four while holding for two seconds in between.

Concentrate on your breathing and allow your mind to go blanc. If thoughts pop into your head allow them to pass without giving them added attention. If you have trouble quieting your mind you may visualize a blank wall, white cloud or other non-descript image.

Meditate for 5 or 10 minutes to start, working your way up to a 20 minute session.
